Balsamic Pasta Sauce

1 medium onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons Italian herb mix
1/2 teaspoon ground fennel seed
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste

Instructions :

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and salt; saute until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic, herb mix, fennel, red pepper flakes.
